The GenderLab <\/strong>platform i<\/strong>s a virtual space for academics, students, researchers, journalists, and civil society members to engage, learn, and deliberate on topics around gender equality, justice, peace, and development. It aims to foster discussion and learning around issues such as human rights, peace, security; gender equality; transitional justice; democracy; democratic culture; political participation; ethnicity; migration; economic development, and related topics from a gender perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GenderLab <\/strong>website is designed to host seminars, discussions and exchanges, academic training, and networking as well as a space to share research outputs and opinion pieces related to gender and democracy in Myanmar. Ultimately, it aims to support the improvement of gender equality and democratic justice knowledge and skills; provide a space for bridging theoretical and practical perspectives; and serve as a virtual space for the wider community on engagement on gender, democracy, and development related to Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GenderLab website<\/strong> is now live and available to provide as a virtual platform for all. The website features are user-friendly interfaces and allow visitors to access news and events, our activities, various resources including research and reports, and multimedia content as well. Visitors are also welcome to participate in online forums and attend virtual events, seminars, and training.  The GenderLab team welcomes feedback and suggestions on its beta version as we work to improve the platform and make it available for all people who are interested in gender equality, democracy, and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are very pleased to announce the launching beta version of our website is to provide a platform to learn, discuss and engage about gender equality. And our hope is that this virtual space will connect to the different backgrounds of people that lead to a change and progress of gender equality and democratic justice of Myanmar\u201d<\/em> said the GenderLab team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GenderLab<\/strong> is an initiative of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand with the funding support of the International Development Research Center (IDRC) in partnership with Global Affairs Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
